The folks over at Nature’s Path Organic sent some packages of their cereals for me to try a couple of weeks ago. I was kind of skeptical, because the few gluten free cereals I have tried since I began my gluten free diet have been, well, a disappointment. But, since they sent them to me for free, I went ahead and gave them a try.
The first one, Mesa Sunrise, is a corn flake kind of cereal, but it also has organic flax, organic buckwheat flour, organic quinoa, and organic amaranth. It is has a very good taste, and stays crispy in milk or yogurt. I liked it right out of the box as a snack food, too.
FabGrandpa, who does not have to eat a gluten free diet, thought this cereal was delicious, and I had to hide the box to keep him from eating it all. I will definitely be buying this cereal when I can find a store that carries it.
The second cereal they sent, Whole O’s, has the look and feel of Cheerios, but does not have any oats in it.
The ingredients in it are organic brown rice flour, organic corn flour, organic evaporated cane juice, organic pomegranate juice concentrate, sea salt. It is a little bit crunchier than I like my cereal to be, but it is very good with yogurt. I didn’t try it with milk as I do not like milk with my cereal.
Not all of Nature’s Path products are gluten free, but they do have a very good variety of gluten free products, including cereals, snack bars, cookies and frozen waffles.
I also received a coupon good for a free product, up to $3.99 US or $4.99 Canadian, to use for a package of Lifestream Gluten Free Frozen Waffles or any other Nature’s Path Organic or Envirokidz Organic product. I have not been able to find a store that carries any of these in my area, since I am in such a remote location, so I am going to give it away.
If you would like to receive this coupon, leave a comment and I will chose a winner on Sunday, August 16. Be sure to leave an email address so I will be able to contact you if you are the winner.

Karen, I'll try to see if any of the stores up here carry these cereals. If so, I'll be glad to pick up a box or two and send them to ya!
Nice that you enjoyed these cereals. Too bad you can't find a place to buy the products and use the coupon.
Karen,
You may have already checked this out but Albertsons in Flagstaff carries some Nature's Path products. Looks like to me, Albertson's has many stores all over AZ. Do you all every get down to Flagstaff?
