The Manischewitz Company sent me samples of their Chicken Broth to try out. I have seen their products in the grocery store for as long as I can remember, but I have never bought them. I was surprised to learn that they have quite a few gluten free items in their product line. As a matter of fact, there are over 60 items on their gluten free list!
The chicken broth comes in both regular and low sodium varieties in 32 oz shelf stable boxes; and condensed in 10.5 oz cans. It tasted very good in the southern style chicken and dumplings I made with it. Since I normally boil a chicken to make homemade broth for my dumplings, I was quite pleased to find a broth that tasted good enough to use out of the box–it will be a real time saver for me.
Manischewitz Chicken Broth is all natural, kosher, and contains no MSG or gluten. Ingredients: Chicken stock (water, chicken), salt, flavorings, chicken fat, yeast extract, evaporated cane juice sugar, carrot juice concentrate, celery juice concentrate, and onion juice concentrate.
Calories: 15 per one cup serving Carbohydrate: 1 gram per one cup serving.
