Tonight I tried the new Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Strips for dinner. For anything to make it to our table, it has to meet the following criteria: First, it has to be gluten free because I eat a gluten free diet. Second, it must be moist, because my husband has some issues with dry mouth. Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Strips met both of those requirements, and tasted delicious.
Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Fillets and Grilled & Ready™ Frozen and Refrigerated Chicken Breast Strips are fully-cooked, lean, boneless, skinless, recipe-ready chicken that help dramatically cut down on meal preparation time, giving families a jump start on meals. The perfect protein for any entrée, salad or sandwich, Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Fillets and Grilled & Ready™ Frozen and Refrigerated Chicken Breast Strips are a delicious and smart way to make eating right part of your routine.
I made one of our favorite chicken recipes: Chicken and Garlic over Gluten Free Pasta. You can use any green vegetable in this dish–tonight I used Swiss Chard. I have used asparagus, green beans, broccoli, and zucchinni at different times, and they all taste good in this.
Chicken & Garlic With Swiss Chard Over Gluten Free Pasta
1 bag Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Strips
1 garlic bulb, divided into cloves, peeled, and sliced
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 bunch Swiss Chard, cleaned and chopped, including stalks
salt and pepper to taste
12 oz your favorite gluten free pasta
Steam the Swiss Chard until desired doneness. I steam mine by putting it in a bowl, add about 1/8 cup of water, cover with plastic wrap, and put in microwave for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, sautee′ the garlic in olive oil for about three minutes. Add Tyson’s Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Strips, and continue to cook for about 5 more minutes. Stir in steamed Swiss Chard, and cook for 1-2 minutes more to blend flavors. Salt and pepper to taste.
I serve this with a home made Gluten Free Chinese sauce:
3 tablespoons corn starch
1/8 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice Powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
3-4 tablespoons Gluten Free Soy Sauce
Stir all ingredients together well in a 2 cup glass measuring cup. Place in microwave and heat for 1 minute. Stir. Continue to cook in 1 minute increments, then stirring, until sauce is thick and shiny.
