Tysons Grilled and Ready Frozen chicken breast stripsTonight I tried the new Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Strips for dinner.  For anything to make it to our table, it has to meet the following criteria: First, it has to be gluten free because I eat a gluten free diet. Second, it must be moist, because my husband has some issues with dry mouth. Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Strips met both of those requirements, and tasted delicious.

Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Fillets and Grilled & Ready™ Frozen and Refrigerated Chicken Breast Strips are fully-cooked, lean, boneless, skinless, recipe-ready chicken  that help dramatically cut down on meal preparation time, giving families a jump start on meals. The perfect protein for any entrée, salad or sandwich, Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Fillets and Grilled & Ready™ Frozen and Refrigerated Chicken Breast Strips are a delicious and smart way to make eating right part of your routine.

Chicken and Garlic with Swiss Chard

I made one of our favorite chicken recipes: Chicken and Garlic over Gluten Free Pasta. You can use any green vegetable in this dish–tonight I used Swiss Chard. I have used asparagus, green beans, broccoli, and zucchinni at different times, and they all taste good in this.

Chicken & Garlic With Swiss Chard Over Gluten Free Pasta

1 bag Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Strips

1 garlic bulb, divided into cloves, peeled, and sliced

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 bunch Swiss Chard, cleaned and chopped, including stalks

salt and pepper to taste

12 oz your favorite gluten free pasta

Steam the Swiss Chard until desired doneness. I steam mine by putting it in a bowl, add about 1/8 cup of water, cover with plastic wrap, and put in microwave for 10 minutes.  Meanwhile, sautee′ the garlic in olive oil for about three minutes. Add Tyson’s Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Strips, and continue to cook for about 5 more minutes. Stir in steamed Swiss Chard, and cook for 1-2 minutes more to blend flavors. Salt and pepper to taste.

I serve this with a home made Gluten Free Chinese sauce:

3 tablespoons corn starch

1/8 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups water

1 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice Powder

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

3-4 tablespoons Gluten Free Soy Sauce

Stir all ingredients together well in a 2 cup glass measuring cup. Place in microwave and heat for 1 minute. Stir. Continue to cook in 1 minute increments, then stirring, until sauce is thick and shiny.

Applegate Farms Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets

If you are a someone who eats gluten free, when was the last time you had some chicken nuggets? For me, it has been since April 2007. That changed yesterday when my samples of Applegate Farms Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets arrived.

These nuggets are delicious! Even my non-gluten free husband enjoyed them. And they were so easy to prepare: Just pop them in the oven for 12 minutes, turn them over one time half way through the cooking time, and they are done. They can also be cooked in the microwave. The package says “Our gluten free chicken nuggets are ready to heat, so you can spend more time tickling your kids.” Don’t you just love that?

Applegate Farms Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets would be a perfect choice for hot hors d’œuvres  at a party, as an after school snack, or served with vegetables for dinner. I served mine with a homemade honey mustard sauce, and sides of steamed spinach and potatoes.

These chicken nuggets are all natural, contain no nitrates or nitrites, no fillers or preservatives, no artificial colors or flavors, and no MSG. They are produced from vegetarian grain fed chickens, and no antibiotics are used. All these healthy details have created a delicious, good for you chicken nugget that you will be able to feed your family with confidence.
